Be careful not to confuse purposely and purposefully. If you do something purposely (or on purpose), you do it intentionally, not accidentally: Rodrigo purposely came late, just to make Robert mad. If you do something purposefully, you do it strongly and definitely, with an important goal in mind: Robert walked purposefully up to Rodrigo and punched him in the nose! |
